Katie was born and raised in the Suburbs of Detroit, Michigan and spent the first years of her career in a boutique VC firm in San Francisco. It took her only a few months to come to the realization that she wanted to get back to building and made the leap to startup life joining Zipfian Academy as a co-founder and the first business hire.
After a successful acquisition, and a few years as a product manager at Flexport, Katie is now a co-founder at Placement where she and companny help jobseekers get jobs they didn't think was possible.
